How many times have you replaced your decklid struts? Us too. That's why Rennline developed a fully mechanical decklid strut, the last one you'll ever need. Factory decklid struts are hydraulic and will eventually fail without question. They're sensitive to weight and temperature, making them unreliable and less than ideal for aftermarket decklids and tails. If you've ever installed a fiberglass tail, you've probably noticed the pressure of the hydraulic shock tends to torque the decklid, typically creating an uneven body gap on the top left side.

Operation is simple: open your decklid all the way up and it will remain in place. Push it up once more and it releases the stop, coming back down.

Rennline's fully mechanical decklid strut will not fail for the life of the product and carries a lifetime warranty. It utilizes a billet design with complex machining to ensure smooth, reliable operation, and is available in carbon fiber or black aluminum to suit your build. Check whether your car came with one or two decklid struts, for light decklids, only one mechanical strut is required. Sold individually.
