Installation Difficulty
A lowered ride height is a must for any car used on the track or for performance street driving. The biggest down side to this modification is ground clearance. Speed bumps, pot holes or the occasional "Off Track" excursion can cause some serious damage to the underside of your car. The Rennline Aluminum Skid Plates have been designed to eliminate those concerns. Rennline's skid plate conceals the underside of the radiator as well as the oil pan and are formed so that no edges will get caught on objects when traveling forward, backwards or sideways. Hardware is included and installation takes about 5 minutes with no drilling required. These skid plates work with factory or Rennline front tie downs.

Prop 65 Warning
Has managed to hold up for two full seasons of rallycross. I have broken off each of the two aft mounting brackets, cracked through the remaining holes, hammered it straight six times, replaced the mounting hardware four times, and hydraulic pressed the forward uprights back 'straight' three times. Still no damage to radiator mount or oil pan. This thing will absolutely take a beating.
I installed the skid plate on my 1984 Porsche 944 even though it is made for the later model 1985.2 and newer cars. I had to cut off about 2" of the top of each of the front mounts, clamp them to the existing front tire downs that are welded to the frame of the car. After leveling the skid plate, I drilled 2 holes through the mounts and the tie down plates and bolted them on. The rear mounts are in the factory position so no problem there! Worked great! The skid plate is very well made and looks great under the car!
