A: If you have a MagSafe or Qi-compatible phone and want wireless charging, choose the wireless induction charger option. If you just need a secure mount without charging, the standard magnet option is more affordable.

Q: What if my phone does not have MagSafe?

A: Use the included adhesive-backed steel ring on the back of your phone or case. Additional rings are available separately as PM70_R.

Q: Can I use this with a third-party ball mount accessory?

A: Yes. The included 17mm aluminum ball is compatible with any accessory that uses the same diameter ball.

    I have a 2024 Golf R. I have tried a few different mounts (clip-ons, suctions, etc.), but none of them really worked. This is the first Golf-specific mount I found. Installation is a bit scary. I was worried about breaking the trim I had to remove, but it was fairly easy. Only took 20-25 mins. The install video is great and tells you everything you need to know. The video says you need a T15 head to unscrew the video screen bolts, but it is actually a T20. I wish the mount actually bolted into the bolt behind the screen rather than partly relying on adhesive. That is why I gave a 4 rating instead of a 5. Also, the mount should stick out a tiny bit further from the dash to prevent the phone from touching the dash and sometimes preventing good connection with the magnet. So far, I am very happy and would recommend to other Golf MK8 owners.
